Christiane Eidsten Dahl born 1987, has a growing international reputation as a performer of both modern and baroque violin repertoire. Originally from Drammen, Norway she has studied with Geir Inge Lotsberg at Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo and at postgraduate level with Prof. David Takeno and Pavlo Beznosiuk at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has also studied with Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch in Krakow, Poland. Her recent performance highlights include as soloist in Beethoven Violin Concerto in D-major with Drammen Symphony Orchestra and Bach’s Concerto for 3 Violins at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2010 she toured Brazil with Oslo Camerata, with whom she has recorded Grieg String Quartets and Spohr Violin Concertos for Naxos. As an orchestral player she has performed with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Baroque Orchestra and Barokkanerne. Christiane will be a member of the Southbank Sinfonia for the 2012 season and is grateful for the support of TICON-foundation towards her studies in London.
